I.T.S Engineering College Greater Noida organized the Inaugural Ceremony of NewGen IEDC sponsored by the DST, Govt of India on the 11th of September, 2019 in the presence of the Chief Guest - Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of Inida; Guests of Honour - Dr. Naveen Vashistha, Scientist, DST, Govt of India and Prof. S.B.Sareen, Sr. Faculty & Project Director, DST NewGen IEDC and other luminaries.

The session was started by Dr Vikas Singh, Executive Director, I.T.S - The Education Group, who extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other dignitaries. He briefed everyone about the main objective of NewGen IEDC project center sponsored by DST Govt. of India for next 5 years highlighting the New Gen IEDC project of 2.87 Cr, the new initiative taken by I.T.S Engineering College in which each and every start up will get support of 2.5 lakh. In this project students will generate innovative ideas and develop prototype to initiate an enterprise. Dr. Singh also informed everyone that I.T.S Engineering College is the first private institute in the Utter Pradesh region which got this opportunity to facilitate students working in the field of entrepreneurship. He further explained the working procedure according to which total 10 projects will get selected in first year, 15 projects in second year and 25 projects in third, fourth and fifth year each.

On this occasion, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, urged the audience to keep their focus into the real life problems and need for future entrepreneurship in India. He also emphasized upon the need for young entrepreneurs in today’s life styles and working profiles. He reposed confidence in the young sleuths and sown the streak of hope and faith for their future as entrepreneurs.

Dr. S.P. Mishra, Advisor, I.T.S - The Education Group made everyone realize the importance of NewGen IEDC and how it is going to change the thinking and work profile of future entrepreneurs. On this prestigious occasion, Dr. R.P. Chadha, Honourable Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group, stressed upon the importance of students as the creators of their own destiny and thus, this college will provide them all the facilities which are under its control. Mr. B. K. Arora, Secretary, I.T.S - The Education Group, also shared the kernels of his wisdom to enlighten the young brigade of prospective entrepreneurs.

Later on, the advisory board members had a meeting to chalk out the future perspectives and work profile of different entrepreneurship projects. The young entrepreneurs were in rapt attention and enthusiasm throughout the inaugural ceremony. There were interactive sessions too in which the students enthusiastically responded and participated.
